This course is an introduction to the importance of domesticated livestock. It is a course designed to acquaint the student with the various aspects of animal production. Providing an understanding of genetics, nutrition, selection, disease, reproduction, animal welfare, and animal health of common livestock and identifying the common breeds of livestock and their characteristics.
