ALH 1200 - INTRODUCTION TO PHARMACOLOGY
This course provides the student with an introduction to basic pharmacology. Drugs are presented within the major drug classifications along with general drug actions, common adverse reactions, contraindication, precautions, and interactions related to each body system. Emphasis is placed on ways to promote an optimal response to therapy, how to monitor and manage adverse reactions, and important points to keep in mind when educating patients about the use of these drugs.
