This course will introduce the student to the basic principles of nail technology covering such topics as history of cosmetology and nail technology, career path as a nail tech, professional ethics, personal and professional health, physical presentation, personality development, effective communication skills, infection control, anatomy and physiology, nail structure and growth, nail diseases and disorders, manicuring, pedicuring, and the theory of massage.
