HIST 2107 - LATIN AMERICAN HISTORY
Prerequisite: If ]reading review course is required, the student must complete PREP 1404 or be concurrently enrolled in ENGL 1411.
This course will examine the history of Latin America from pre-colonial times to the present-day. It is an introductory, survey-level course that focuses on the formation and progression of human societies in Latin America, exposing students to the events, people, and institutions that have played important roles in significantly shaping the cultural, social, political and economic aspects of the history and culture of Latin American societies during the time period covered. This course will examine the history of Latin America from pre-colonial times to the present-day.
