RAD 1213 - RADIATION BIOLOGY
Prerequisite: RAD 1200, RAD 1201, RAD 1202, RAD 1203, RAD 1205, RAD 1206, RAD 1207, RAD 1208, RAD 1209, RAD 1210, RAD 1211 and RAD 1215, ZOO 1105, ZOO 1106
This course will provide the radiologic technology student theories and principles of the interaction of ionizing radiation with living systems. Radiation effects on biologic molecules and organisms and factors affecting biological response are explored. Acute and long term effects of ionizing radiation exposure and radiation projection are discussed.
