RAD 1220 - COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY APPLICATIONS
Prerequisite: Successful completion of an AAS in Radiologic Technology
This internet based course concentrates on the use of computed tomography as an imaging tool from the technologist's perspective. Areas of study include patient care and safety, IV procedures and contrast media and imaging protocols for the brain, facial bones, neck, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, upper and lower extremities, chest, abdomen, pelvis and pediatric patient. Also discussed is an overview of general considerations and CT guided interventional techniques. This course is also designed to assist the student in preparing for the ARRT's CT registry.
